CLOVIS, Ca. – Texas Tech track & field racked up two USATF Junior Championships, putting two Red Raiders into the IAAF World U20 Championships, while also holding a second-place spot in the heptathlon on Saturday, June 25, at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.

Vincent Crisp, who qualified with the fifth-fastest time in the prelims on Friday, put together a fantastic race in the final of the 800 meters on Saturday night. Sitting in fourth after the first lap, Crisp kicked hard on the final 200 meters of the race and passed the leaders, crossing the finish line with a new personal-best and the USA junior championship at 1:46.97.
